All
of Renate Erlacher`s handbags are unique pieces and handmade by
a very fine Viennese craftsman. All bags are most carefully manufactured
from the best and rarest materials, such as skin of sting ray, calf,
deer, goat, reptiles, waterbuffalo and perch. Only internationally
permitted leatherspecies are used for production. Some of the bags
are supplied with bone clasps, which are made by a Viennese juwellery
designer.
The interior of the bags is very sophisticated as well: it consists of goatskin or calfskin and in many of them there are compartements f.e. for a handmade comb, a lipstick or a pen, a namecardbag and a leathercovered pocket mirror. |

So
far she has shown and sold her bags in very exclusive shops, art
galleries and designer studios. Most recently one of her bags was
added to the permanent collection of the German Leathermuseum in
Offenbach near Frankfurt.
